Friday Jazz Scholarship Fundraiser Hosted by ASU Birmingham Alumni Chapter

WHEN: Friday (June 22) from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

WHERE: Kappa Komplex, 45 Sixth Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35205




The Birmingham Chapter of the Alabama State University Alumni Association is hosting a jazz scholarship fundraiser this Friday (June 22) to help fund the annual scholarships, which the chapter awards to deserving Birmingham-area students headed to or attending ASU. It will take place from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m. at the Kappa Komplex, which is located at 45 Sixth Avenue South.






The entertainment at the fundraiser will see a host of jazz musicians who will be performing that includes the Domenion Band, and a number of ASU alumni (Aldophus Williams, Daniel 'Jose' Carr, Nathaniel Bagley, Leander McCurdy, Glenn Sears, Robert Mullins, and Clarence Albright).




The event has a donation price of $25, and tickets may be obtained from members of the Birmingham Alumni Chapter, at the Eventbrite site (see below) or by paying for the tickets at the door. There will be food and refreshments served at the event, a raffle with prizes awarded throughout the night, and more.
