MSU Students Study Abroad in Guatemala

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on June 28, 2018 FEATURED Content Recently, four Morgan State University students traveled to the country of Guatemala to participate in an experiential learning opportunity abroad. The students Damesha Edwards (psychology), Jamarr Wilson (psychology), Serena Reece (psychology), and Tichelle Rose (nursing) used their time in Guatemala learning firsthand about the country’s health system, by volunteering in clinic and conducting health screens that included checking blood pressure, blood glucose, height and weight. They also spent time learning Spanish and studying Guatemala’s history. Dr. Kimberly Warren, an associate professor in the College of Liberal Arts Psychology Department, accompanied the students.
