McDonald’s Global McDelivery Day Returns: Delivering Delicious Food and Fun Around the World

McDonald’s Global McDelivery Day Returns: Delivering Delicious Food and Fun Around the World
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on July 19, 2018

This Thursday, McDonald’s is celebrating fun, food and convenience around the world by bringing back Global McDelivery Day.

This year on Global McDelivery Day, McDonald’s is transforming every day, routine moments into fun and delicious moments. McDonald’s knows that right now, there’s nothing more fun than 1990s nostalgia, so this year, we’re introducing the Throwback Collection – a set of fun T-shirts, bandanas, pins, socks and PopSockets featuring designs inspired by the ‘90s.

On Thursday, McDonald’s will be surprising 50 students in a Texas Southern University class with McDonald’s food delivered by Uber Eats and singer and TV personality, Zonnique, turning routine moments into unforgettable memories.

Global McDelivery Day begins at 1pm local time across more than 20 markets around the world with McDonald’s delighting customers with more than food – we’re delivering fun, exclusive ‘90s Throwback Collection items. Customers who order food through Uber Eats on McDelivery Day have the chance to receive a piece of the collection while supplies last.

In just one year, we’ve grown to nearly 12,000 restaurants offering delivery through Uber Eats and various delivery partners around the globe, giving our guests the craveable and delicious McDonald’s food they love when they can't get to us.

For information on participating cities and restaurants where the ‘90s-inspired Throwback Collection will be available, go to McDeliveryatMcDonalds.com or follow along with the day's surprises on Twitter with #McDelivery.

About McDonald’s:
McDonald’s is the world’s leading global foodservice retailer with over 37,000 locations in 120 markets around the world. Over 90 percent of McDonald’s restaurants worldwide are owned and operated by independent local business men and women.

About McDelivery:
With over two decades of delivery experience, Asia and the Middle East, McDonald's is already one of the largest global delivery players. Around the world, McDonald's utilizes several different models for McDelivery including partnering with various third parties for order and delivery fulfillment. McDelivery is currently available from nearly 12,000 restaurants in 61 markets.
