Dr. Kerry Cox and son, Kyle Cox acquired TCG Footwear one of the few shoe retailers offering 100% handcrafted leather sneakers. Produced in limited quantities adding to the brand's cache, they partnered with the fashion industry’s leading retailers, such as Nordstrom's, to expand its online and brick & mortar presence worldwide.

In 2018, father and son Dr. Kerry Cox and Kyle Cox acquired the brand and made history as the only sneaker company owned by an African-American father-son team, Dr. Kerry Cox is a Fisk alumnus, both he and son Kyle are members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.

TCG FOOTWEAR is a leading shoe retailer featuring 100% handcrafted sneakers made of the finest quality leathers. Founded in 2009 by Gianpaolo Altomari as Thorocraft, the brand was renamed T C G® in 2015. Kerry and Kyle have developed a new business model based on the foundation of mutual respect and a vision for excellence. They are excited about the future growth and market expansion of the brand and committed to providing impeccable service—unparalleled quality, traditional craftsmanship, and distinctive styles.

When asked to describe the TCG man, Kyle Cox responds, "The TCG man is someone that lives their life to the fullest. No matter what you do or how much you make, as long as you are authentic and passionate about waking up every day and taking it all head on. That makes you a Thoroughly Crafted Man!" Explaining his interest in co-ownership, “I first became familiar as a customer of TCG FOOTWEAR.

It is a very accomplished company and their team has done an extraordinary job building a reputation for manufacturing extremely high-quality shoes,” said Kyle Cox, TCG’s Chief Executive Officer. “TCG FOOTWEAR shares a strong commitment to their customers and the combination of the companies’ global and local strengths will allow us to expand our product lines and deliver a more comprehensive experience to our customers by fusing luxury with sport. Our focus is on bringing luxury to technology with minimal branding for the more refined athlete.”
“By teaming up with the fashion industry’s leading retailers, such as Nordstrom's, TCG FOOTWEAR has expanded its presence and reaches a larger audience worldwide. We plan to leverage TCG’s sales network to deliver the existing product lines while positioning the company for faster domestic and international growth,” said Dr. Kerry Cox, Chairman of TCG FOOTWEAR. “We are extremely excited to meet the demands of the shoe retail marketplace and to deliver quality products and services to our new and existing customers.”
