Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 28, 2018 The Lebanon Valley College Office of Intercultural Affairs and Inclusive Programming seeks an associate director of intercultural affairs and inclusive programming. Under the supervision of the assistant dean of student engagement and inclusion / director of intercultural affairs, the associate director works to establish programs and services to promote the success of ALANA, LGBTQ and other identified student populations on campus. The associate director also assumes an active role in supporting, mentoring and linking these students to various campus resources to enhance social and academic success. Contributing to the inclusive excellence goals of the College, the associate director develops programs to support cultural awareness and serves as an advisor to cultural/affinity student organizations. The associate director is a 12 month, live-on professional with some on-duty responsibilities and works varied hours to include, evenings, weekends and some holidays. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral science is required, a master’s degree in higher education, counseling, social justice education, or other related field is preferred; a minimum of 2 years of experience working with ALANA and/or LGBTQ student populations; knowledge of and strategies for supporting ALANA and/or LGBTQ populations as well as gender and feminist issues; involvement in student affairs professional organizations/associations is preferable; and experience in program and student leadership development.
