Posted By: Hija Chang on August 29, 2018 The Department of Philosophy at Brandeis University invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Philosophy, beginning Fall 2019. The Areas of Specialization and Competence are open. Duties include the teaching of graduate and undergraduate courses in the candidate’s areas of specialization and competence, as well as advising of Master’s and undergraduate students and service to the department and university. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in philosophy by the date of appointment and must demonstrate potential for excellence in research and teaching. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, three letters of recommendation, a writing sample and a teaching statement or portfolio through AcademicJobsOnline.
