A cum laude graduate and Deans' Academic Excellence Scholar, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History in the School of Arts and Sciences at Clark Atlanta University (CAU), Georgia. She is an alumna of the Isabella T. Jenkins, Ph.D., (ITJ) Honors and Scholars program.
