Maintaining the security of information, whether it belongs to McAfee Cloud Business Unit, its business partners, its customers, or its employees, is a primary business objective that requires the attention of all McAfee Cloud Business Unit employees. Your job will require that you receive information security training and you may be involved in other security programs and initiatives within McAfee Cloud Business Unit, as required by either customer, contract, regulatory or legal requirements. We have the following opportunity for a creative, innovative and results-oriented person willing to go the extra mile in a fast-paced environment. Position Summary We are seeking a Sr Security Engineer who will be responsible for improving and maintaining our security posture from software development, test and live infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, articulate, have experience with Linux and other *NIX-derivatives, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment. Your primary mission as a Security Engineer is working closely with the development, technical operations, quality assurance, and product management teams, to ensure the timely delivery of robust technical solutions for McAfee customers and internal teams. Required Experience and Skills • MIN 5yrs experience in Security Operations • Implementation and maintenance of security controls in our hosted environment • Experience in managing security frameworks, e.g. ISO 27001/27018, SOC 2 Type 2, FedRAMP • Performs periodic vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and other security assessments as needed • Evangelize security within organization • Expertise with firewall applications (PF / IPTables) • An understanding of how networks and common networking protocols work and how to dissect them using tcpdump. • Good understanding in networking, databases, client-side technologies or systems' administration • Understandings in configuration management frameworks (e.g. Puppet, Chef) • Hands-on scripting background (Bourne/Korn Shell, Python/Perl/Ruby) • Thorough familiarly with Debian/Ubuntu, CentOS and/or Free/OpenBSD Responsibilities • Interacting with the Engineering and supporting/maintaining/designing front/backend infrastructure with data breaches, broken authentication, hacking, account hijacking, malicious insiders, third parties, APTs, data loss and DoS attacks. • Automation of scanning/analysis/patching, customization, upgrades and monitoring through SecOps tools meant for Cloud management. • As a SecOps Engineer, building, deploying, and maintaining our cloud environment is your day-to-day focus. • Design, build and implement enterprise security systems for all of our environments. Preferred Qualifications • Proficient working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and Cloudfront in a highly available and scalable production environment. • Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Glu, Salt. • Extensive experience with *nux systems, virtualization, and network administration. • Experience documenting processes, labs and test environments.
