Posted By: Reggie Culpepper on March 24, 2006 Samantha Nicole Keeby Major: Business Administration Hometown: Claxton, GA Samantha Nicole Keeby was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 23, 1983. She was raised and currently resides in Claxton, GA. She is the daughter of Oria S. and Mary Keeby. She has one sister, Sherry Keeby, and four brothers, Orias Williams, Chris Keeby, Mark Keeby, and Cari Keeby. In 2002, after graduating with honors from Claxton High School, Samantha enrolled in Morris College on an athletic scholarship for Track and Field. She is currently a senior majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Mathematics. During her matriculation at Morris College, she has achieved several academic achievements, which include being named as a Presidential Scholar and a recipient of the Luns C. Richardson Endowed Scholarship. Samantha’s extracurricular activities include serving in leadership positions as the Reporter in the Math Club, President of the Block ‘M’ Club, and a member of the college’s Ladies Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Before being crowned Miss Morris College 2005-06, she also reigned as Miss Junior and Miss Rich-Cureton-Johnson (RCJ) Hall. In 2003 and 2004, she became a member of the National Association Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Regional Cross Country Championship Team at Morris. In the spring of 2005, she became a member of the Xi Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Additionally, Samantha is a faithful member of Thomas Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church in Claxton, GA. After obtaining her degree from Morris College in May 2006, Samantha plans to attend the University of Maryland or Georgia Southern University to obtain a Masters in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting. Her motto and belief is “I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me,” Philippians 4:13.
