Posted By: How May I Help You NC on October 18, 2018 The University of Northern Iowa’s College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences- Department of Mathematics invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at all levels. Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Mathematics and have a strong potential for teaching excellence and continuous scholarly activity leading to publications. ABDs in Mathematics will be considered with evidence of degree completion by August 2019. The standard teaching load is 18 credit hours per year. The department has a strong tradition of excellence in teaching and supports research in mathematics and mathematics education. Qualified candidates from all areas are encouraged to apply. UNI has a bold vision that we will be a diverse and inclusive campus community that provides an engaged education empowering students to lead locally and globally. We seek faculty across disciplines, departments, and colleges to work together to build our national prominence in any of four distinct but interrelated areas of our vision and strategic plan: engaged learning, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and community engagement. Successful candidates with background and interest in these areas will form clusters to advance our work, joining current faculty conducting teaching, scholarship, and service in these areas.
