Industrial engineers may want to focus on a specific industry such as medical engineering or manufacturing engineering. With this four-year degree, you will be able to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to streamline major systems and create harmony and order. Agricultural EngineeringIf you happen to be passionate about nutrition and farm-fresh produce, you may want to consider a degree in agricultural engineering. Agricultural engineers design and improve farming equipment to maximize output and efficiency while maintaining the highest quality. For an agricultural engineer, the work they do can have a major impact on entire populations. In many rural areas, people rely on farms to eat well. As the world shifts and GMOs become more commonplace, the demand for skilled agricultural engineers is strong. Civil EngineeringA civil engineer paves the way of the future, literally. As a civil engineer, you will be responsible for the design and maintenance of roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, dams, water supplies and sewage systems. As a supervisor of large construction projects, civil engineers help build airports and other major buildings people rely on every day. A civil engineering degree takes around four years to complete, and you may decide to further your education by specializing in a field like infrastructure system management, mining engineering, or geotechnical engineering.
