Posted By: Noble Iduwe on March 27, 2019 On March 15th, Illinois Dry Nights Shift Manager Matt Stevens was presented with the Patriot Award from the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve). Stevens was nominated by employee Eduardo Rios Martinez who serves in the Illinois National Guard while working night shift in the Illinois Dry Warehouse. Stevens was selected from a number of nominees to receive the award. An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve, may nominate individual supervisors for the support they have provided directly to the nominating service member and his or her family. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
