Never let people define you or limit you on the basis of what they have limited you to do and be! It took me a while to stop putting any importance in what people think of me. In ministry, we call this being DELIVERED FROM PEOPLE! I am more than what they know or want to believe about me. What I do is only a part of or aspect of who I am! If only they knew who I really was, they would be more afraid of me then they are already! Why? Because, in spite of what people think, I AM still growing and striving to be the best me according to the WILL OF GOD for my life! People limit you on the basis of their fear of you. The fear of your knowledge or capability to be greater than what they want to believe is the opposition that creates the barriers and challenges surrounding you! If people are not able to control your growth to take credit for your success, you become less important to them! Why? People need to feel more important than what they are! We, as human beings - creatures of habit, crave VALIDATION! Some of us need others to put us on a pedestal to feel appreciated and valued. Unfortunately, society (the basis of this world system) teaches us and encourages us to fear one another on the basis of our differences whether it be (to name a few): the color of our skin, facial features, age, sexual orientation, gender, disability or religious beliefs. We are generally led to be competitive in our thinking than we are encouraged to work together (co-exist) to accomplish and achieve success as a human race ALL created by the same SOURCE. We are taught and encouraged to hate when God advocates for LOVE. We tell ourselves that we are CHRISTIANS who know God while living our lives contrary to the expectations of our ABBA FATHER. People have actually said to me - to my face - while attempting to tear me down and challenge my love for God and others; "but Ann, I am a Christian. I believe!" As individuals, CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, we are ALL operating at various LEVELS! Levels of immaturity. Levels of SPIRITUAL immaturity in need of growth. We ALL are operating at various levels of GROWTH. We let our AMBITION to rise to the top as dictated by the world to interfere with our SPIRITUAL GROWTH. In fact, some of us have stopped growing and we don't even know it! And we allow others with their limited mindset based on separation from the TRUTH to validate what God is doing through us to get us to our destiny in HIM by limiting our own growth. STOP IT! We have stopped reaching to be our BEST self as created by God because we have replaced our humanity with ambition and material possessions on the basis of a world induced consciousness. We have allowed people who think they have arrived based on their titles, financial and privilege status absent of the LOVE OF GOD to speak over our SPIRIT. And at one time or another, I was allowing this same world system and people to convince me to see myself through their eyes in accepting the value they placed upon me. As shared and told to me approximately seven years (or so) ago within my current workplace in a closed door (one-on-one) meeting, "If a person doesn't like you they can be your worse enemy to hold you back (put limitations upon you); but, if they like you, they can be your best ally to help you grow and receive success to be promoted in your career." Now, what I learned on that day is ..... your credentials, skill or ability to perform doesn't matter. Who you are as a person or individual doesn't matter! Your integrity or character for wanting to do what is right doesn't matter. Being liked or disliked and misjudged is what matters! Wow, but IT ALL MATTERS TO GOD! Today, I am content with seeing myself through the eyes of God. Today, I am content with following Jesus as HE follows God. Isn't that the TRUE definition of being a CHRISTIAN? Attempting to be CHRIST-like! Believing in an HIGHER POWER is about reaching high enough to raise your LEVEL of consciousness to see yourself not as man sees you. It's about seeing yourself to take into account what needs to be changed to BE THE BEST YOU AS CREATED BY GOD! For me, it is about pleasing God and soaring to GREATER HEIGHTS in my SPIRITUALITY! YOU CAN'T BREAK OR BLOCK THE FLOW OF WHAT GOD HAS ORDAINED, ANOINTED AND POSITIONED TO PROSPER!
