Sarah Lawrence College seeks several Biology Guest Faculty - Multiple Positions!

Posted By: Hija Chang on June 06, 2019 Sarah Lawrence College seeks several biologists to teach one or more semester-long courses in Genetics, Bioinformatics, or Aquatic Biology. Genetics will be taught in the Fall 2019, but the other courses may be taught in either Fall, 2019 or Spring 2020, to be determined in consultation with the successful applicant. Applicants should indicate in their cover letter which course(s) they are applying to teach. A guest faculty position is compensated as a half-time appointment. All courses are taught as seminars (max. 15 students); Courses meet twice per week, Genetics will have a weekly lab, and in all courses, the faculty member will meet biweekly with each student. Therefore, we seek applicants dedicated to teaching and developing the research, writing and analytical skills of their students. Application materials must include: A cover letter, CV, statement of teaching philosophy and research interests, proposed course title and description, and names and contact information for three references.
