Who has decided against going to an HBCU???????

Who has decided against going to an HBCU???????
Posted By: Ashley Davis on April 06, 2006

I know this site is dedicated to HBCU's and all but honestly who has decided to attend a college that is not predominately black? If you have come to the conclussion that an HBCU is not the place for you, can you explain your reasons and how you came to that conclussion. Also if you have had a change of heart as to which school you would like to attend I would appreciate that as well. Maybe HBCU's aren't for everyone either~

If I was NOT accepted to Howard U, I would end up @ this school in Michigan called Grand Valley State or Bowling Green in Ohio. There's NOTHING wrong with NOT going to an HBCU.

I had that decision to make. My first choices were btwn JSU and USM. I think that either choice I make will be beneficial. There are pros n cons to both HBCUs and PWIs. Just gotta weigh ya options and figure what's best for you. HBCUs aren't for everyone but PWIs aren't either...

Great question.

I hope no one chose because a school is listed as predominately black...

We do all have our rights to choose though.

Hey....i have made my final decision to attend a non-hbcu. Not that n-e-things wrong with hbcu's but howard was the only one I applied to other than north Carolina A&T. Howard lost my things and well...i'm still considering a&t. I guess it's all in the Lord's hand. He'll guide me to where he wants me to be.
