Three Ways to Get Your Needs Met

Three Ways to Get Your Needs Met

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking and [the door] will be opened to you.” ~ Matt 7:7 (AMP)

Success begins in your life when you begin to meet the needs of other people. But how can you meet the needs of other people when you struggle to meet you own needs? How do you get your needs met so that you can meet someone else’s needs? And, why do some people seem to get what they want and others seem to struggle through life?

Like a professional athlete trains for his sport, success takes preparation. For most people, the future is troubling because it arrives before they are ready for it. Nothing great is created suddenly. Whether your vision is to build a skyscraper, start a new ministry, create a hit song or write a best selling novel, nothing can be done except little by little. Success never comes to people who think they are too big to do small things. So, how do you ensure your needs are met on your way to meet other people’s needs? Matthew 7:7 makes it clear:

Ask – Simply asking for help doesn’t guarantee success.

However, successful people know how to ask for what they need. If it is capital that they need, they understand the language of bankers, venture capitalist and investors. They ask for it in well-written business plans, or smart presentations or through a third party relationship. Unsuccessful people may ask for what they need, but in a communication that doesn’t warrant a favorable response.

Seek - Opportunities come when they are pursued, seized and apprehended. Opportunities die when they are neglected. Successful people understand the opportunities have limited timetables attached to them and therefore seek relationships that can cause immediate increase. They seek people who are strong in areas that they are weak. Unsuccessful people normally seek the wrong associations, like other people with the same weaknesses.

Knock – Successful people understand that every exit door is an entrance to somewhere greater. If there is a resource or a relationship that belongs to you, and there is a door standing in your way, knock it down! Be bold, be heard and be loud about it! Humility does not mean to be quiet, it means to stand up for what God has for you.

I like that, it is so true. Sometimes we forget that it's ok to fall down the important thing is that we get back up. We should remember that every setback is preparing us for a bigger setup. Be blessed

Hey Ashley, this is what Proverbs 24:16 means "For a just man/woman/child falleth 7 times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief(hint, choices).
Appreciate the comments Sis and the wisdom that You share from Your life.
