Posted By: How May I Help You NC on July 01, 2019 Position The MIT Music and Theater Arts Section is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor (tenure track) who is an actively performing instrumental soloist and/or chamber musician with an established and growing national/international reputation, as well as an enthusiasm and proven ability to expertly teach in the Western art music tradition. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate music performance in individualized studio lessons, chamber music coaching, performance seminars, beginning-of-term auditioning, and end-of-term evaluations, and Section needs; service to the Section and Institute; maintaining a substantive and documented profile in the field of music performance.
