Posted By: Hija Chang on August 21, 2019 The Division of Enrollment Management (EM) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UT) invites applications and nominations for an International Recruitment and Communications Coordinator to serve on our International Recruitment team. UT is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University. UT is the state’s flagship research institution, a campus of choice for outstanding undergraduates, and a premier graduate institution. Enrolling more than 28,000 students, the campus is located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in beautiful East Tennessee. As a land-grant university, UT fulfills its access mission through a commitment to excellence in learning, scholarship, and engagement. The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and the Veterans Resource Center. Functions and Responsibilities: This position supports the creation and execution of the overall international marketing and communications plans, utilizing a mix of appropriate mediums and methods (online/web advertising, search engine marketing, print publications, social media, e-mail, web content, etc.) under the supervision of the Director of International Recruitment and under the guidance and partnership of EM Communications Team and the University’s communications department. Creates content for print, web, and messaging related to international recruitment. Develops messaging for the international recruitment and admissions communication flow. Represents UT utilizing various methods and mediums and at international related recruitment events. Advises international prospective students, parents, school counselors, and UT faculty/staff, and other international student recruitment partners on the international admissions process, policies, and related university information. External Recruitment Partnerships: This position oversees the International Student Ambassador’s Program for peer-to-peer recruitment of international students. Selects, hires and provides oversight of future and current International Student Ambassadors. Review peer content for messaging and monitors various social media platforms utilized. Tracks and reports effectiveness of peer communication models.
