Many questions go through your head, what should i write my college essay about, where do I start, what do I talk about, and how detailed should I be? Here are some college admission essay examples for you to look at and get your ideas flowing. Example 1 On the surface, I am like most young women: I take school very seriously, I have set goals for the future and I am determined to make them happen. I do not expect anyone to do the work for me. I come from what is considered a normal background: my parents are divorced and I live with my dad, step-mom and sister, but I feel very lucky to have the support of my family behind me. I think what sets me apart from other people is … Example 2 Many people enjoy playing with Legos when they are kids, but usually not ignoring all the other toys. For me though, nothing was interesting than getting a picture in my head and then being able to build it in reality using those little blocks, or any other things I could find to build with… Example 3 There are many challenges that my generation faces today: our nation is at war, there are people in our own country that go to bed hungry every night, and this spring, I will be lucky enough to graduate from one of the best high schools in the country, there are other students elsewhere in America who are also graduating, even though they can’t read their own diploma… Example 4 The time that a student spends in college is when every single second should be dedicated to acquiring more knowledge and experience. Of course, books can provide a lot of information about our culture, the economy and experiences in other countries. Studying in college is one of the main ways to accomplish my academic and career goals, I need this information and I do not get it all from books. Nevertheless, the best way to obtain knowledge about other countries is through having encounters with students that have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
