“A New Decade of Realization :: Bipolar is the New Genius, The Traumatized The Most Talented :: Abdel-Maajid Baha Become

Posted By: Brandalyn Gill on January 02, 2020 2020 brings with it a more diversified world, inviting thought and strategies of the most complex issues – thoughts and strategies which may have never been considered. With only 19 days remaining until the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr Day Mental Health and Literacy Summit, young mother, producing actress, HISD Endorsed (2010) author and motivational speaker, and community activist, Brandalyn Gill refuses to give up her fight to put on the 2020 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Mental Health and Literacy Summit and asks the public to think more deeply about mental illness. “This country spends a meager $89.1 billion compared to $12.2 billion, according to FullFact.Org. That is an extra $77 billion dollars that could be put towards the experiment on and/or advancement of the minds of the ‘mentally ill’ instead of the stigmatic vicious cycle” Gill protests. As she reaches the last three weeks of the funding of the project to include some of Houston’s most powerful names in mental health and education, such as Angelina Hudson, Director of Programs at the National Association of Mental Illness – Greater Houston, she has directed her attention towards research thoroughly outlining the American perception mental illness and trauma versus the facts. “Almost 6 billion people in the United States are bipolar and the nation views them as being ill, but Tiffany Greenwood of the ‘Molecular Neuropsychiatry’ publication has an entirely different view. In her article for the U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, she paints an entirely different view of mental disorders. She reveals evidence that has been exposed for years, being that those who have ‘bipolar disorder’ have been found to be intellectually high-caliber geniuses and there are many common genetic factors shared between those excelsior and creative individuals and those persons having bipolar traits” Gill examines. “It is also true that those persons - Rick Nauert PhD, Associate News Editor, Psych Central – ‘suffering’ from post-traumatic stress disorder are more inclined to be a stronger self-image and view of the personal strength … So I wonder what would happen if we took that $77 billion and invested in programs such as that to take place on the 20th of this month at MacGregor Park? What if we invested our American dollars into the creativity and imagination of America instead of condemning it? I wonder how much richer the education system would be; how much more productive ‘mentally ill’ people would be; and how much more usable information from these studies could continue to improve the world. America is just one part that seems to be suffering the most …” Gill invites anyone who would like to further this discussion to attend the 2020 MLK Jr. Day Mental Health and Literacy Summit and become a sponsor at www.mlkdaysummit.com. She thanks Mr. Abdel-Maajid Baha, LCDC Counselor Intern-Mental Behavior Care Counselor for being the very first donor to the program that she claims will “make history”.
