Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 08, 2020 Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), one of the world’s leading teaching and research universities, invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of University Registrar. Washington University is driven by a clear purpose: to create an environment that encourages and supports intellectual and personal collaboration to make a difference in the lives of its students, its community and the world. Located in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, WashU is a distinguished institution with an incredible wealth of resources, including top-ranked programs in the departments of arts & sciences, law, business, engineering, social work, and design and visual arts — all within a thriving city filled with culture and inspiration. Nationally ranked as one of the best universities in the country, the Danforth Campus is the heart of WashU and is the academic home to the majority of the university's undergraduate, graduate and professional students. In 2017, WashU launched a transformational project on the East End of campus to align with the university's core academic mission of groundbreaking discovery, research and teaching. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and collaborative leader to join one of the world’s leading research universities during an exciting moment of change and transformation. Andrew Martin began his tenure as chancellor on June 1, 2019, and the next university registrar will join an institution whose academic excellence, status and reputation have risen remarkably over the past two decades and whose ambitions continue to grow. As a member of the Office of the Provost, the new university registrar will further this legacy by providing strategic direction and oversight of the university's system-wide registration policies. Achieving the university's goal of excellence, service and efficiency, the university registrar will provide a cohesive vision and leadership within a decentralized structure. A creative and student-centered leader, the ability to work in coordination with WashU's seven schools in a complex environment is essential, as is a strong work ethic and sophisticated technical skills. In addition, the new leader will possess a commitment to WashU's mission and values; exceptional communication, strategic planning, change management and analytical skills; an ability to work independently and collaboratively; and a proven record of creating and reconfiguring registrar policies to further strategic institutional priorities. The successful candidate will convey the ability to work with a mix of undergraduate, graduate and professional programs. Additional information about Washington University is available at wustl.edu. Inquiries, nominations and applications are invited. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Candidates should provide a resume and a letter of application that addresses the responsibilities and requirements described in the leadership profile, which can be found at www.wittkieffer.com. These materials should be sent via e-mail to Washington University's consultants, Amy Crutchfield and Bree Liddell, at WashURegistrar@wittkieffer.com. Washington University values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity for all persons regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other status protected by law.
