Join us for National Mentoring Month

The new year is starting off with a bang– it’s National Mentoring Month!

Every January there is an annual mentoring campaign nationwide that is “dedicated to celebrating and elevating the mentoring movement.” We are using this month as an opportunity to thank all of our mentors, recognize the positive impact that mentorship has on women, and engage with new mentors and mentees who are interested in joining our network!

Share your mentoring motivation with us!
As a way of celebrating our amazing mentors, we are going to be featuring videos about why they do what they do. Mentorship is powerful for both mentors and mentees– and it’s also hugely impactful in supporting future women leaders.

We would love to hear why you pass your torch!

Make a video on your phone answering the prompt, “I pass my torch because…”
The video should be less than one minute long
Tag us in the video on social media, and use the hashtag #PassTorch4Women and #MentoringMonth
To have you video featured on our social media, email it to us at info@passthetorchforwomen.org

Mentees– This is your opportunity to thank your mentors!

There’s no better way to showcase the impact of mentoring than to hear stories from mentees about how their mentors have supported them.

Mentees, we are inviting you to join us in celebrating National Mentoring Month by making a short video thanking one of your mentors and speaking to how mentoring has helped you.

Make a video on your phone answering the prompt, “Because you mentored me…”
The video should be one minute long or less
Tag us in the video on social media, and use the hashtag #PassTorch4Women and #MentoringMonth
To have you video featured on our social media, share it with us at info@passthetorchforwomen.org

Every woman deserves a mentor as she navigates her education and career goals. There are always more women who could benefit from mentorship, and there is always a need for more mentors!

Think back and remember some of your first mentoring relationships, formal or informal. Chances are, that person helped you navigate your career in times of confusion and acted as a sounding board in times of stress. You have everything it takes to provide that kind of guidance for someone else, and we want you to join us and make that possible!
