About Our Guest:
Shauna Brown is an educator, author, and entreprenuer.

With over 15 years of service in the field of education, Shauna has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, district coordinator, educational consultant, and Assistant Principal. She is a fierce advocate for racial and social justice in schools, as well as a passionate educator of STEM and critical literacies. Although she is not currently serving in the classroom, her joy in teaching and working with students comes from centering youth culture and culturally affirming and culturally relevant teaching practices into her pedagogy. About the host of Teacher Talks:

Stacie McClam is an educator, speaker, filmmaker, and radio show host. She has 10+ years of teaching experience. Stacie has taught in Washington, D.C., Japan, Denver, Kuwait, and in Los Angeles County. She recently returned to the classroom as a substitute teacher. As a law school graduate she hoped to work in education reform but then realized that it took too long to change policy. Stacie feels that she can better serve students outside of the classroom by exposing the realities that occur inside the classroom through film.
