Posted By: How May I Help You NC on May 11, 2020 WittKieffer is assisting Augusta University (AU) enterprise (including AU, Augusta University Health (AUH), AU Medical Center, AU Medical Associates, and other entities associated with the university), a non-profit organization, headquartered in Augusta, Georgia in their recruitment of candidates for their inaugural enterprise wide Chief Compliance Officer/Vice President for Audit, Compliance, Ethics and Risk Management (CCO). As one of the 26 member institutions within the University System of Georgia (USG), AU seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next CCO. This is a unique opportunity at one of the most respected universities/healthcare institutions in the United States. The AU enterprise is committed to investing in and nurturing a culture of safety. The CCO is one of the most critical positions within the enterprise. The CCO leads the enterprise on its continuing journey to build and maintain a culture of compliance integrated in all aspects of business and clinical operations across the system and owned by all employees and associates. Reporting to the President of Augusta University, Dr. Brooks A. Keel, and the Chief Audit Officer of the USG, the CCO coordinates the implementation of an effective corporate compliance program into all aspects of the enterprise's daily operations. The CCO ensures all employees have access to the knowledge, support and guidance to conduct their business in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and standards. The CCO will work collaboratively with management of all organizations to ensure best business and clinical practices are conducted. This executive position promotes ethical management behavior and an awareness and understanding of positive ethical principles and compliance with federal and state law in all areas of compliance programs.
