the Fall 2020 cohort. This targets the new graduate nurse or the RN with less than 6
months RN work experience upon application- the May 2020 new graduate nurse. Applications now being accepted for our Adult Acute areas. June 4, 2020 to July 6, 2020. Application Timeline for "All Participating Track options": May 4, 2020-June 4, 2020 . Interviews will be June 15-July 2, 2020 For our Adult Acute areas our interviews are
being scheduled during June plus Mondays each week after June 2020. . Tracks Available: Please visit our NRP site - https://www.vumc.org/nurse-residency-program Our start date: 10/19/2020 *Available dates may vary depending on area hired /
successful NCLEX completion Qualified applicants will be emailed further
instruction/ application packet within 72 hours of
online application. Candidates will identify their Track of interest
within the e-mailed packet. As your completed packet is received and reviewed,
packets are compiled and scored. This is Step 1 of our Application Process. After completion of the
initial application you will receive Part 2 within 72 business hours. Track selection is identified in Part 2. The Nurse Residency Program is a one year program
designed for nursing graduates or nurses (RN) with less than six months (at the
time of application) of nursing experience.
Nurse residents are required to be licensed prior to their start
date. Residents that can provide official documentation of successful NCLEX
results and pending application for TN RN licensure (or a state that is part of
the enhanced nurse licensure compact) will be considered eligible to start. Candidates will be required to have at least a Bachelor’s degree
in Nursing to be eligible to apply. ASN degree is considered for our current employees employed for one year in at least part time hours. Full-time hours 36-40 hours per week is required during the first
year of the Nurse Residency Program. Please review our Track highlights: https://www.vumc.org/nurse-residency-program/track-listing-units Basic Requirements: Residents who are selected for hire may
be offered a position for a specific unit. Home unit assignment will be a
collaborative decision made by residency program leaders and unit leaders.
Factors considered will be the needs of the organization and individual units
as well as skills and interests of the residents. This position requires Graduation from an accredited nursing
