Teaneck International Film Festival ~ 2020

Posted By: Robert Walker on November 09, 2020

The Teaneck International Film Festival under it’s leadership of festival director, Jeremy Lentz, has always been an event for filmmakers that reflects the fabric and colors of all people in America and around the world. During these times of racial strife here in America, while in the midst of a global pandemic with COVID 19, this year’s festival seeks to share the human stories of triumph over defeat, humility over arrogance, love over hate. Festival officials feel they have just the right combination of films that will showcase this in a troubling year that has made all of us reflect on who we are as a nation and as a people.

For the first time in the festivals 15-year history, The Teaneck International Film Festival is fully virtual.

The festival will also be expanded from four days to two weeks starting November 12 - 25, 2020 and has brought back the all-access pass at $35 which includes all films, or filmgoers can purchase tickets individually for $5.

The virtual festival enables the audience to have the best seat in the house from the comfort of their own home. The films will be streamed live and all include a live moderated discussion with a question-and-answer period for the audience.

This year's films of interest for HBCU's will include the following:

‘John Lewis: Good Trouble’

‘Before They Die’

‘Belly of the Beast‘

‘Black Orpheus’ - featuring a live talkback with the original Dream Girl - Sheryl Lee Ralph

‘Song For Our People‘

For more information on how you can participate in this years festival to see these wonderful films and more, log on at:
