FBI Turns to HBCU Community to Hire New Chief Diversity Officer - Apply Today!

Posted By: Will Moss on December 16, 2020 The FBI’s Chief Diversity Officer is responsible for furthering the Bureau’s strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The incumbent is responsible for collaboratively developing and driving a Bureau-wide diversity and inclusion strategy that aligns with and contributes directly to the FBI’s mission and strategic goals. This position reports directly to the Executive Assistant Director of the Human Resources Branch. Qualifications Needed The candidate selected for this position must possess a record of accomplishment, which demonstrates exceptional leadership/management, interpersonal, problem solving, and collaboration skills, as well as strong organizational and planning skills. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop, drive, and support change initiatives are essential. • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the D&I field with at least 5 years as a Chief Diversity Officer or similar position leading and implementing successful diversity and inclusion initiatives in an organization of comparable size and complexity to the FBI. • Demonstrated understanding of the business case for diversity & inclusion. • Strong understanding of industry benchmarks, leading practices and innovations in D&I • Some experience working in, or with, the federal government or law enforcement is helpful, but not required.
