Posted By: Sandy Chin on December 22, 2020 Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory - Earth & Environmental Sciences Area Student Internships for Summer 2021(virtual) Application Deadline: January 8 or January 12, 2021 (depending on internship program) The Earth & Environmental Sciences Area (EESA, http://eesa.lbl.gov) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab, www.lbl.gov) is a premier Earth sciences research organization where scientists tackle some of the most pressing environmental and energy challenges of the 21st century. We are looking for diverse, exceptional students who would welcome an opportunity to intern with us virtually during Summer 2021. Berkeley Lab offers an exciting range of internship programs for community college, undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, and graduate students. Our mission is to inspire and prepare the next generation of scientists, engineers, technologists, and STEM professionals. • To aid students in applying to these internship opportunities, we have identified several specific EESA student projects in this website: https://go.lbl.gov/eesa-student-opportunit... • As noted in this website, students will need to apply to the appropriate Berkeley Lab internship programs by the relevant early January deadlines (the first one is Jan 8th, 11:59pm Eastern). • The internship programs are competitive and have different eligibility and application requirements. (All programs require applicants to be U.S Citizens or Permanent Residents at the time of application.) • The summer internship will take place virtually from early June through early August 2021. Please circulate to faculty and students who might be interested. If you have questions or would like to learn more, please contact Sandy Chin, EESA Early Career Development Lead, at schin[at]lbl[dot]gov. ---------------------------------------------------------- About Berkeley Lab: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is a world renowned national laboratory supported by the U.S. Department of Energy through its Office of Science.
