FAMU Grad and Fashion Designer Jerry Lorenzo Teams Up With Adidas to Create Fear of God Athletics
|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on December 28, 2020 Adidas recently announced that they will be teaming up with FAMU alum and founder of Fear of God apparel, Jerry Lorenzo, to create a brand new athletic line. Lorenzo’s Fear of God features a range of fashion, from casual wear to formal wear. The partnership, however, will create a new pillar for the brand, athletic wear. He will be using his fashion design talent to create a unique look for basketball apparel for one of the world’s largest athletic brands. This is not Lorenzo’s first collab with a major brand, though. In 2018, he partnered up with Nike for a special footwear project. In the announcement released to their website last week, Adidas said, “With this groundbreaking partnership, Lorenzo will drive the creative and business strategy for Adidas basketball globally. The alliance challenges and exists beyond traditional collaboration –– and is the truest and most honest form of both personal and business relationship.” Lorenzo also spoke about the new collaboration saying, “Adidas and Fear of God share the same dream for the future of basketball, on and beyond the court, and we look forward to changing the face of the industry through a new model that will unfold before us in the coming years.” If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
