The Harpeth Hall School is looking to hire HBCU grads to fill their open positions of Performing Arts Director and Lead Choral Music Teacher. The Harpeth Hall School is a college preparatory school for girls in grades 5-12 in Nashville, Tennessee. Families choose Harpeth Hall because of its reputation as a leader in girls' education. Harpeth Hall seeks two innovative, dynamic, creative, and collaborative educators and leaders to serve as its next Choral Music Teacher and Director of Performing Arts. Choral Music Teacher Qualities and Qualifications: This teacher will promote and implement best practices in choral music education for all grades, 5-12. The lead choral teacher will collaborate with all areas of performing arts and will report to the Director of Performing Arts. The choral music teacher will support and promote a strong music program within the context of a robust academic and performing arts program. ● Knowledge of a wide variety of music, including a foundation in classical training, and extensive experience with leading and conducting female choral students. ● Education commensurate with work in middle and upper school education; master’s degree preferred. ● Passion for building and supporting a strong choral program and presence within the performing arts program. ● Appreciation of independent school culture an all-girls education. Apply Here! Director of Performing Arts Qualities and Qualifications: The Director will oversee all areas of the performing arts during the school day and after school. The program includes theatre, chorus, orchestra, dance, and technical theatre. The Director will report to the Division Directors and will collaborate closely with the Director of Advancement, Director of Admission and Financial Aid, and Director of Marketing and Communications. ● Knowledge of each area of performing arts and demonstrated success in the field. ● Education commensurate with work in middle and upper school education; master’s degree preferred. ● Passion for choral music, orchestral music, dance, theatre, and technical theatre and a vision for implementation in an educational setting. ● Appreciation of independent school culture and all-girls education Apply Here!
