Here’s your chance to escape the “I can code but they say I need experience” trap...BUT ACT FAST!

Here’s your chance to escape the “I can code but they say I need experience” trap...BUT ACT FAST!

Don’t you hate it? You have mad skills, you know how to code—front end and UX, back end, or both? You know how to write and get your head around technical concepts, or perhaps you know your way around financial statements in Excel; you’re a wizard at analytics tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, SAS or Knime…but nobody will hire you because you have “no experience.”
There is a solution to that. The right internship can change everything! HBCU’s founder was hired at the telecom where he had his college internship, even the editor was hired by the newspaper and radio station where he interned. But keep in mind, not all internships are created equal. Some don’t pay, others don’t grow your professional skill set and stick you off in an office supply closet somewhere. On the other hand, some are truly exceptional opportunities for growth!
In that latter category are the internships that ServiceNow is offering. Have you never heard of them? ServiceNow is probably one of the largest, fastest growing software companies that you haven’t heard of unless you are immersed in enterprise software. ServiceNow is the dominant business software provider for IT asset management and technical support, used by the majority of large enterprises and government agencies in the US and around the world.
ServiceNow internships are PAID, so you are not struggling to make ends meet while you learn how to earn.

Furthermore, ServiceNow generally offers generous relocation assistance AND a housing stipend for their summer internships. But, summer is approaching quickly, so you must move fast!
This Wednesday, February 24th, ServiceNow and HBCU Connect are hosting a virtual internship recruitment event where you can find out how to apply. Even if your plans are sewn up for this summer, this will give you the opportunity to learn more about this industry leader so that you don’t sleep on future and postgraduate opportunities.
ServiceNow is looking specifically for:’
• UX Engineering & Design
• Software Engineering
• MBA Internship (Product Management, Analytics, Business Ops)
• Technical Writing (Communications/Liberal Arts)
In addition, ServiceNow is a progressive, forward thinking company that values diversity. For that reason, the are on the lookout for Black and Latinx students currently enrolled either in a 4 year college degree program, or working towards an MBA/Master’s degree.
DON’T MISS OUT!!! Click here for details on how to attend the event via Zoom and download a calendar reminder. No access to Zoom? That’s OK, you can dial in via telephone. Remember, this is Wednesday, so act right now! Be sure to pass this on to friends and family.
