|
Posted By: Lailah Berry on March 12, 2021 The firm committed to spending an additional $750 million with Black and Latinx owned suppliers over the next five years. Their employees wanted to get involved in the commitment and help Chase achieve this goal- so they devised a plan. Advancing Black Pathways, in partnership with Corporate and Site Services and Cyber Security Technology Controls, is launching a new online portal of Black and Latinx owned suppliers: Go/BuyBLBusiness. Currently through this site, all of Chase's employees can purchase goods and services for their business through Black and Latinx suppliers. This portal will place all of the Black and Latinx businesses that Chase funds in once place. This portal provides a clear opportunity to open doors for Black and Latinx owned businesses. JP Morgan Chase has also put $30 Billion towards a commitment to advance racial equality. This money has been spread out towards housing, loans, mortgages, capital investments, and helping people open savings and checking accounts.
