Its primary commitment is to outstanding teaching and to fostering critical, creative thinking and humane, responsible action. McDaniel College is seeking an HBCU graduate to fill its one-year Visiting Assistant Philosophy Professorship starting in August 2021. reference will be given to candidates with a specialization in the philosophy of race or critical race theory, and competence in ethics or social/political philosophy. A Ph.D. or advanced ABD is preferred. As far as qualifications are concerned, the college is seeking candidates with a strong commitment to teaching, scholarly work, engaging students in research, and building a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
