North Carolina A&T Alum Terrence J Partners With Black-Owned Bank To Teach Financial Literacy to HBCU Students
|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on April 05, 2021 Actor and HBCU grad Terrence J is partnering with a Black-owned bank to support HBCU students in a major way. Through an initiative known as Project Tassels, Terrence J is joining forces with First Boulevard to release a video series covering several financial and money management-related topics like budgeting, savings, and credit scores. The goal is to help 1,000 HBCU students prepare for and control their financial future upon graduation. When asked why Terrence J felt it was so important to get involved with this program, he told HBCU Buzz, “I wasn’t entirely knowledgeable about the importance of financial literacy while attending North Carolina A&T State University, or even at the beginning of my career. Had I known then what I know now about wealth building, I would’ve taken small steps to better manage my finances sooner.” We commend Terrence and First Boulevard for taking the time to make sure that HBCU grads have the tools they need to be financially successful.
