yes sir it is. but not all freshmen gain weight. some loose weight. two years ago it was the freshmen 15 now its the freshmen 45 b/c its estimated that freshmen will gain 45lbs. i guess if you study so much and eat fast food late at night of course. but if your broke and hungry i dont think you will gain weight. and of course ya wont be having many home cooked meals

If you find somewhere to work out and don't eat fast food every weekend, you probably won't gain any weight. I didn't gain any weight until 2nd semester- sadly, about 8 pounds. But don't get nervous, you won't blow up like a house!

I go away to boarding school and it's true...freshman anywhere gain more weight...luckilly, I already had to go through it so I won't be experiencing it again...but it's usually from poor eating habits, and not knowing your limit...or eating too many starches and not a well-balanced meal...you also gotta stay active, or else you will start seeing that weight
