Actress and Spelman College graduate Keshia Knight Pulliam's Fearless Fund just secured a major investment from MasterCard. The Fearless Fund, co-founded by Pulliam, Arian Simone, and Ayana Parsons was created to establish a venture capital firm dedicated to investing in minority female entrepreneurs.

The Fearless Foundation is a 501c3 organization where the primary objective is to increase entrepreneurial education through training, and empowerment that will lead African Americans to gain access to capital. The foundation “Get Venture Ready “program will benefit more business through the program serving upwards of 500 women of color business owners per year assisting with establishing company infrastructure, relationships with brands, enhancing resources, and providing extensive training for WOC businesses.

The “Get Venture Ready Junior” program will assist youth 13 to 18 years of age to confidently discover, initiate and live out their dreams and aspirations through training and continuous education grants.

MasterCard announced today that it would be making a multi-million dollar investment in the effort to help provide early financing to businesses started by women of color in the beauty, food, fashion, and technology industries.

In the statement released by MasterCard, it said, "Black businesses are vital to our economy and are amongst the hardest hit by the impacts of the pandemic. Fearless Fund and Mastercard are partnering to launch a grant contest aimed at helping Women of Color business owners in cities across the U.S. with the needed funding and digital resources to build and bolster their businesses. More details will be announced soon."

"With all of the given hurdles that Black businesses faced prior to COVID the impact as a result of COVID has shown to be devastating. With this great need in front of us, we know that the Fearless Foundation is a key resource to help empower this community along with our Partners and Sponsors like MasterCard and I hope your company as well.
