Posted By: Kennedy Williams on April 20, 2021 After a 16 day trial and 10 hours of deliberation, a jury found ex-police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all charges. According to CNN, Chauvin now faces up to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder, up to 25 years for third-degree murder, and up to 10 years for second-degree manslaughter. As the verdict was read by the judge, thousands of people rejoiced in the streets outside of the courtroom, happy to see that Chauvin's crime would not go unpunished.
