Junior Fixed Income Trader - Money Markets

Posted By: MoNika Hadith on April 26, 2021 PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES •Maximize best execution practices while implementing buy and sell transactions in money market instruments for various Fixed Income strategies •Monitor and maintain portfolio and SEC Rule 2a7 compliance guidelines while transacting across strategies •Gather and analyze market color and communicate relevant information to portfolio managers, analysts, and other traders •Develop and manage relationships with broker/dealers •Work with investment teams to generate relative value analysis •Analyze and monitor the short term and U.S Treasury market structures and practices QUALIFICATIONS Required •Bachelor’s degree •Strong communication skills to communicate market color and investment strategies to portfolio managers, analysts, and traders •Ability to work effectively as part of a team of portfolio managers, analysts, and traders •Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills •Ability to negotiate effectively with broker/dealers •Ability to multitask with precision and at times under pressure •Attention to detail •Self motivated Preferred •Bachelor’s degree in Business with 2-3 years of work-related experience in Fixed Income preferred •MBA, MS, or CFA (or in progress) preferred If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
