Posted By: Nik on May 04, 2006 Well it's been about three weeks or so since Andre dropped off the face of the earth and each day it gets a little easier to deal. My eating habits are starting to go back to normal though I'm still having some problems sleeping through the night. I think the worse of it is over for now. The other night I had a small break down, got pissed (more so at me cryin then what I was cryin at) and ripped up all our pictures and stuff like that. Threw it all in a shoebox, tapped it shut, and threw it up in the closet. The physical pain that used to come with me being so damn depressed, the weight in my chest, the headaches, alla that has stopped. So for the most part I think I'm doin pretty good on the whole healing thing. I took my AP English test today and lets just say I'm damn glad I aint pay for that thing cuz Idda been pissed to pay 82 dollars to get a 1. I don't think I did that well but aw well, who cares? Howard accepted me anywho! I gotta go pay for my prom limo tomorrow and take Brenda (my roommate and new prom date) dress shopping this weekend. Hopefull I can find some time to hit up Club Avalon. I also have a new crush. *smile* I know everybody is gonna think he's just a rebound but it's not even like that. We were friends while Andre and I were together and I had a slight attraction to him then. I don't know if he wants his name blasted all over the net so we'll leave him nameless for now. We talk like every day, laugh, joke, vibe, alla that. Its weird being in that whole "talkin" phase again. I mean I've been off the market for a considerable amount of time now. Its fun to have somebody make you blush, and give you butterflies and shyt. Hmph, I can't tell you the last time Andre did somethin sweet that didn't come right before or right after sex :-\. So overall I think I'm doin really good right now. I took the advice of somebody who left a comment on my last blog and left it to God. This whole thing with Andre and everything else going on in my life really humbled me and allowed me to remember who is really in control of my life, the Lord. So I feel really good. Oh and I want to thank all of those who said prayers for my family and my mother when she went on disability. She went back to work last night (thank god!) and though it was kind of hard for her, she's gonna be okay. So thank yall once again. Nik, I only wish I had your focus when I was in the 12th grade!!! You are a beautiful girl. AP classes?? I am so impressed with your focus and ability to be studious. Girl, if you keep the focus on your own future that you have now, you will be unstoppable once you learn a few things! You will have all of those things that you are seeking. Whether it's Andre or the new "crush", don't get so involved that they crush your vision or your spirit. You have a lot of potential. Let me get religious on ya for a second. The word of God says, the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. That means, whatever your "soft" spot is, your weakness, is going to be tried. All I am saying is be you, but be careful. You have a lot within you to protect. Things you can already see in yourself and some things you haven't even begun to understand. I wish you the best at Howard.
