According to its website, the Entertainment Industry College Outreach Program (EICOP) is a non-profit educational arts workforce development program dedicated to educating, training, and recruiting the best and brightest diverse student leaders from our nation’s Historically Black Colleges, Universities (HBCUs) and other Predominantly Minority Institutions (PMIs) for careers across all aspects of the entertainment, media, sports, music and technology industries. The free, four-day virtual program will bring together talent and executives from across the entertainment industry and students and faculty from HBCUs through inspirational keynotes, industry panels, special events, and networking sessions. The summit is intended to highlight the impact and relevance of HBCUs and their relationship to Hollywood and to create pipelines for employment as the industry advances its efforts toward wide-spread diversity and inclusion.
