Fidelity is celebrating 75 years by giving back to our communities

This month marked the 75th Anniversary of Fidelity, and much has changed since our founding in 1946 as a small business providing investment management. But one thing that has remained constant is our commitment to give back to the communities where we work and live. Our community efforts grew throughout our history, and this eventually led us to start the Fidelity Cares� program in the 1990s so that our associates could volunteer and share their many talents on a broader scale. Since that time, and thanks to our dedicated employee volunteers and trusted community partners, we have hosted numerous company-wide volunteer events, such as School Transformation Day and Impact Week. Today, we partner with numerous non-profits like Points of Light, Citizen Schools, Council for Economic Education, Junior Achievement, and Jump$tart Coalition. Since 1996, our Fidelity Cares program has improved the lives of nearly 1,000,000 students in our local communities. We�re proud of our longstanding commitment to volunteerism and community engagement and are marking our 75th Anniversary by creating ways for associates to come together in support of racial equity and social justice causes. Over the course of this year-long anniversary celebration, associates across the firm are encouraged to consider �75 meaningful ways to make a difference� by listening, learning, and taking action. As part of this effort, Fidelity will support organizations like Equal Justice Initiative, UNCF, and many more. Each opportunity is in response to what our nonprofit partners say they need the most: fundraising, advocacy, ongoing partnership, and volunteer support. At Fidelity, we recognize that actions speak louder than words, and our 75th Anniversary initiative is just one example of many efforts that we have underway across Fidelity to give back and support underserved and underrepresented communities. We are committed to helping drive meaningful change and progress. Giving back isn�t what we do, it�s part of who we are.
