18-Year Old Nadiya Blair Graduates with Latin Honors from Howard University

18-Year Old Nadiya Blair Graduates with Latin Honors from Howard University
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on June 07, 2021

According to Defender Network, 18- year-old Nadiya Blair recently graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s degree. Even through all of the craziness brought on with the global pandemic and an abrupt shift into virtual learning and Zoom university, Blair still managed to graduate with honors, earning the title of a Summa Cum Laude graduate.

When asked about what enabled her success at such a young age, Blair cited God and her parents.“I definitely give credit to my creator. But also my parents are just exceptional people,” she said. “The amount of love my parents have poured into me was awesome. They weren’t helicopter parents. But they did encourage me and were extremely supportive, but they didn’t force me to do anything.

They took the approach, ‘If you get a bad grade, that’s on you, and you can’t do the things you want in life with bad grades.’ That onus just made me want to do well.”

After participating in the dual degree program at her high school, Blair was able to earn an Associates degree while simultaneously earning her high school diploma. By the time Blair graduated high school, she had earned both a degree and a diploma and was more than prepared to start her next chapter. And thanks to all her hard work in high school, she was accepted into Howard as a JUNIOR!

According to Black Enterprise, Blair plans to take a year off to re-coop and then she wants to pursue a master’s in public policy and focus on nonprofit management.

We send a huge congratulations to this young lady and we are so proud of all that she has been able to accomplish at such a young age. We have no doubt that her future is bright and this will not be our last time hearing the name, Nadiya Blair.
