Rapper Cordae Teams Up with ESPN and Disney to Help Fund HBCU Scholarships

Posted By: Kennedy Williams on June 18, 2021 According to Revolt Tv, 23-year old rapper Cordae partnered up with the Disney Dreamers Academy and ESPN’s The Undefeated to help support HBCU students all over the country. Yesterday, it was revealed that the Maryland native is a featured artist on The Undefeated and Disney Dreamers’ upcoming EP, Liberated: Music for the Movement Volume 3. On the project, Cordae collaborated with Common for the song “What’s Life?" Cordae announced that his proceeds from the EP will be donated to support scholarships for HBCU students. In a press release shared on Thursday Cordae said, “So many people need the money more than I do. I feel as though when you’re in such a blessed position, it’s important to pay that forward to be a blessing to others. It’s especially important to me to invest in our youth and the future.” The generosity doesn't stop there because shortly after Cordae made his announcement, The Undefeated and the Disney Dreamers Academy announced that they will match Cordae’s contribution. “Young people are the future of our society and the world, so we must do all we can to ensure they are properly positioned to succeed,” Cordae added. “If I can spark the brain of a few future world leaders and geniuses, I’ll die a happy man.” We commend this young man for going out of his way to support HBCU students and we thank The Undefeated and the Disney Dreamers Academy for standing behind him and helping him do it!
