You can be your own boss and still earn a good income to support yourself and your family. Consider Renting Out PropertiesIf you are interested in property management and you think that it would be fun to invest money in homes and rent them out, you could start to earn money by doing that. You can purchase single family houses, duplexes, and apartments to rent out. You can take care of the places on your own or hire someone to help you keep them in good shape. You can earn a good living through renting out properties. Take on Photography WorkIf you are tired of having other people tell you what to do, you can work as your own boss while taking pictures. Whether you become an event photographer or someone who works as a freelancer, submitting nature pictures to magazines, you can earn a good living if you have photography skills and you know what to do with them. Become a Freelance WriterIf you enjoy writing, you probably want to be able to do any kind of writing you want to do rather than spend your time getting told what you have to write. When you work as a freelance writer, you can write articles of all kinds and submit those to magazines. You can find companies that need someone to write product descriptions for them, too, and you can submit a proposal to them. There is much work out there for those who want to work independently as writers. Work as a Real Estate AgentYou can work as your own boss and sell homes. When you study and get your real estate license, you can set up a practice on your own and control your own schedule. It is up to you how many homes you want to list and how many you want to show.
