HBCU Grad Shawn Rowe is Headed to Tokyo to Compete in the Olympics
|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on July 06, 2021 We're proud to say that the HBCU community will be represented in Tokyo for this year's Olympic games! Shawn Rowe, a Saint Augustine's University graduate will be competing on behalf of Jamaica's Olympic team after placing second in the 400-meter hurdles in Jamaica's Olympic trials. Rowe has a pretty good chance of winning the gold considering his history with success in competitive arenas. So far in his athletic career, he's won the 400 hurdles national title, Men's Outdoor Runner of the Year in the CIAA and NCAA DII Atlantic Region, and CIAA 400 hurdles and 60 hurdles champion, and helped his school win two national crowns and four CIAA titles. Talk about a great track record. We look forward to seeing Shawn compete and we wish him all the best!
