From the streets of Hackensack, Ridgewood, Maywood, South Orange, Jersey City, to Brooklyn, he has moved around quite a bit. He first got into music just by listening to other artists such as Busta Rhymes, Slick Rick, Nas, Jay Z, and Eminem as some of his biggest influences growing up. Even as a child he would freestyle his own lyrics over their material. Aastn's style is described as lyrically innovating with strong choruses, songwriting ability. His latest single “ILL” is a metaphor for his lyrical skills. The song also touches on the current social climate that we are currently in.
