|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on September 21, 2021 Norfolk State University will issue the first cluster of Apple iPad Pros to students as part of the university’s Spartan Innovation Academy. The academy, announced last week by NSU President Dr. Javaune Adams-Gaston, is a new initiative where the university will equip all students, faculty and select staff with iPad Pros with 5g capability and will add an on-campus innovation lab with Apple equipment where students can learn coding and app development. Upon graduation, the students can purchase the issued items for a nominal fee. The first students to receive the devices will be 30 students who are a part of the Virginia College Affordability Network (VCAN). The program provides free college tuition and academic support for Pell eligible students from the seven cities. The University will issue the remaining devices and accessories to students and faculty throughout the month of September.
