Alabama State Alumnus Eugene “Gene” Griffin Creates 24ent Entertainment App
|
Posted By: Kennedy Williams on October 05, 2021 Proud ASU alumnus Eugene “Gene” Griffin and his brother Cedric are the founders of the 24ent entertainment app, "a social media platform designed to give the user control of what they see across 165 categories such as comedy, beauty, fashion, sports, music or inspiration." According to Griffin, the app allows users to "isolate" what they see on social media to specific categories, that way they only get the content that is over interest to them. Development for the app began back in 2019, but after a couple of years and a lot of hard work, the app is now ready for download and can be found in both Apple and Andriod app stores. Griffin is not only celebrating the release of his new app, but he is also giving back to his alma matter in a major way! “24ent is proud to present the University a $10,000 donation, and will be partnering to provide in-game interactions with prizes to increase fan engagement during the remaining home football schedule and home basketball games,” Griffin said in a statement. “ASU is foundational to my career success…I am reaping the benefits of being an ASU alum and in turn, I am giving back what has been given to me. Give, whether it is monetary or volunteering,” said Griffin. “I encourage other Hornets to partner with the University and give back.” If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
