Microsoft WebXT Team Hosts Successful Diversity Recruiting Event with HBCU Connect!

WebXT’s mission with Microsoft is to make the web work for you – meaning users, businesses, and partners. WebXT is responsible for all of Microsoft search engines and more, including Edge and Bing. At the virtual event, attendees heard from contributors on the team, including: • Manish Mittal – Corporate Vice President, Shopping and Commerce • Javier Flores Assad – Partner Software Engineer, Microsoft Edge Browser • Elbio Renato Torres Abib – Vice President of Search • Padma Priya Gaggara – General Manager, Web Data Platform, WebXT Quality Framework & WebXT Engineering Systems • Shashidhar Jade – Principal Software Engineering Manager, Bing Over 100 Latinx career candidates were able to get insight on the WebXT team as they emphasized being courageous and willing to try new things.
