Alone is what I am, but not because I have too Alone because I want to be So that before I focus on you, I can focus on me And I think you should do the same Because your critisizing and analysing of my preference pisses me off more than the fact that you don't know my name No really, I'm not mad at you I'm mad at your intellegence for letting your ignorance take it over My preference isn't what allowed my mind to be drunk with knowledge, yet allows yours to be sober Of why I do what I do Or why it is so beautiful to me but disgusting to you You see, your deepest fear is I Because past the fact that I am who I am, I can tell you who you are better than you can But my deepest fear is that I am powerful beyond measure Quoted by Marrianne Williamson I have the power to be your friend or foe, love you or hate you, keep you or let you go Kill you with kindness and knowledge, or instead, sit you down and teach you what you need to know And if you don't mind, let me teach you a little something about me I am a creative mind as you can see I tend to make people fall head over heals But not to love me, just to now me Because the way I write and layout life comforts a heart so lonely I am the bosom who feeds the young minded hungry And the thing that's so funny is this is only the beginning, a rough draft, a foreshadow of what's to come When all will understand where I am coming from Like the Buddha of poetry, a true lyricist has risen Out of the ashes...hell naw Out of the mind of a child who once hid from life And walked in shadows afraid of the praise of light But light is what she needed to open her eyes While dark played its part of delinquishing her strife Now I am me, look what I have been molded to be I stride with confidence and confidence I speak Ericka Richardson is the name; E. OMG, Damn, That was very thought provoking, poetically sound and just outright DEEP. The first part had me me in self reflection like, "I don't do that? Do I?
